It seems like having an argument is more important to you than having the issue resolved. How you choose to act from this point is up to you. You sat there for 5 years wondering about the video. I messaged Paul and straight away got an answer, but then where's the fun in that?
Like I said, your choice! All the best, Dan |

Paul responded as soon as he was aware of your post (via a third party I might add) and offered a reasonable explanation and a solution. The fact that you still want to write a lengthy post using solid argument after argument in order to 'document your thesis' speaks volumes! I mean really? Get over yourself. What are you expecting to gain? If you are looking for some kind of recompense for the five years you stalled in getting around to bringing up the issue on a public forum instead of contacting Paul directly you must be even more pompous and self absorbed than your posts seem to suggest. Paul has responded, like it or lump it.
By the way, everyone............did you know he is a novelist? Just to be clear, HE IS A NOVELIST! |

Maybe we're all part of his latest novel, and he needs to create some drama, otherwise it's just a book about a guy waiting around for 5 years

It might make you feel that you are "someone". As for my novel's content/plot I'm writing, kudos to you for being spot on. Except that the book it's about a guy being locked alone in a (dark, I guess) recording studio for 5 years waiting for an instructional video footage (which was already been filmed) to be edited. Wow! It's really amazing how time flies!

And the best part? The guy "managed" to unlock the door sometime after 5 years of waiting in vain without having edited what he had promised to release to all the people which have had spent their hard earned money to purchase his product and was "bombarding" him in 2016 with questions about the release date of a video which would have had saved them a lot of time and frustration as it's visual feature would have helped them to master the correct handling/method.
Thanks God, there was an other guy ( a fool one, am I right, dyoung?) who decided to slide the key under the door forcing the forgetful guy to reappear after 5 years of total absence in this certain Cafi which helped him to sell every unit of his product he had in stock before he vanished on September the 6th, 2016 from the two aforementioned certain threads of the MC for obvious reasons.

Well English isn't my first language, so I apologise if it didn't come across that way
Would you mind satisfying my curiosity... Did you manage to figure out how to work the lock properly? I've played with a few locks myself, and found that some are easier than others, but once you learn their "unique personality" (for lack of better description) they are all workable. All the best, Dan |

Because I have the feeling that somehow my latest post was either mistakenly deleted or I didn't hit the "submit reply" button, I'm sending it once more.
Last but not least. Here's one of Paul's statements in his latest post to me: "1. Yes I had a video tutorial filmed which was being edited by a close friend. Sadly, that friend and I parted ways due to an incident and the footage was lost. I was pretty broken by the end of such a close friendhsip and the last thing on my mind was recreating a video.". Wow, that was so touching... But let's be serious. Is there really even one in the whole universe who could believe this outrageous excuse, Paul? An incident regarding a close friendhsip of yours (if I understood correctly) is the reason that the footage was LOST (Is it a fairytale or what? And when does the bad wolf appear?), and due to that you forgot (please... no more fairytales) to re-film and edit your tutorial video so you could after a while release it to all of us who paid for getting a padlock which couldn't be c.....d easily even though I (and so may others) tried hard to follow exactly your written instructions which by the way had no pictures/photos of the handling procedure? Come on... You really could get back as much respect as you lost by using this absolutely unbelievable excuse. To make it short, do you want us to believe that after this heartbraking story you told us, you decided to stop doing business with your customers? For 5 years you stopped selling any of your remaining padlocks and any of your other items (books, props, lectures, etc.) just due to this frienship incident which "tore you apart"? Do I look like an idiot or what? Bottom line: Being a psycological wreck after this incident, you closed your business, cancelled all your scheduled projects, lectures, didn't sale anything to anyone, etc. That obviously explains the fact that you forgot the tutorial video project whatsoever. I think that must be the truth. I'm really sorry, but you had the chance to save what ever of your respect and decency had remained after your failing attempt to give a believable excuse. And you missed it... This is my last refference to this issue. I promise that I'll stop the whole argument here. And just to let you know, that I always keep my promises...

I simply couldn't ever manage to perform the effect and the padlock is resting for a few years in the back of my drawer. Unfortunately, the time here in Greece is almost 2:00 am and I've got to go to rest. So I'll try to find some free time within the upcoming days and I would be happy to exchange our experiences regarding the handling of the padlock. By the way, if I do not sound curious, where are you from, Dan? I'm asking you because you said that English is not your mother tounge, the same case with me. Cheers! Andrew P.S. My promise to stop to post anything about the explanatory video issue/argument remains in effect. I just wanted kindly to reply to Dan's questions which have nothing to do with the aforementioned argument about Paul's attitude/policy towards his customers. To Paul: By the way, because it's never too late, why don't you take just a simple video camera and sit towards it sitting on a chair either on your home or your offic, grap one of your padlock and make a simple and short tutorial video sometime in the near future to show us all the right steps in detail? It doesn't be perfect and professional. You could do it within a few minutes either from your home or your office. So everyone will be satisfied. Just a suggestion, which gives you the chance to assure us that you really care about your customers and that you do have an excellent After Sales Policy. So what do you think? THE END.
