A mind reader’s guide for making anyone guess the amount of fingers you are holding inside your pocket, with definite proof.
This effect literally allows me to make anyone guess the amount of fingers I am holding inside my pocket with physical evidence as definite proof. A quick effect, perfect for any moment. As a bonus, you will find a method which allows me to predict any 50/50 outcome cleanly and an effect where I predict the amount of fingers anyone lowers from their extended palm. First 3 to PM get a copy for reviewing.

Thanks, Jeffrey |

OK, here's my review.
Disclosure - Never met Prager. Do not know him. Received a review copy a little while ago. At about 8 pages, it was a pretty quick read. Contents - One main routine and Two bonus routines. Suitable Venues - Close up, street, casual & informal settings Credits - Proper crediting has been done.(which is rare these days so a big thumbs up to Prager) Pros - There is enormous power in simplicity. So these routines are powerful. Author's clarity of thought is quite commendable. Routines qualify as AAA (anytime, anywhere, anyone). Clever verbal scripting. Very usable ideas. Functional and flexible routines. Fun to perform and can impress quickly. These ideas will surely spark your own creativity. Cons - Suitable for one-off presentations so non-repeatable to the same audience(basic rule of magic is not to repeat, anyways) Value for $$$ - At $10 for 3 usable and practical routines, I think it is positive. Routine Description 1. In My Pocket - Spectator as mind reader. Performer holds any number of fingers (1 to 5 obviously) open INSIDE his pocket and the spec guesses that number. It is later proved (very deliciously) by the performer that she is in fact very right. (I can see myself using this a lot) 2. 50/50 In My Pocket - This is Prager's take on the very popular 'which hand' plot, in other words the 50-50 premise. This idea will be a useful addition to the existing body of knowledge on this plot and can supplement other bigger routines nicely. (I may slightly modify the handling to adapt this to my own personality) 3. Matt's Fingers - This one is my fav of the 3 and is alone worth the price of the book, IMHO. This is the reverse of In My Pocket. The spectator holds up any number of fingers on her hand and you have accurately predicted the same. Lovely piece. So overall a nice set of ideas and routines. Nothing blockbuster or earth shattering but simple, clear routines which amaze and entertain. Very good also as lead ins to bigger pieces. From my side, I would say...Good job, Prager. Keep it up...

Is Matt's Fingers an evolution of Matt Mello's routine? Mello's was a great effect and I can see this sounds identical.

The main differences being that my prediction is examinable and that I've added a visual moment which makes everything come into a full circle (hope makes sense). Happy to answer your questions.

I will say that for people who already are informed with this plot probably will not get a lot of additional ideas from the PDF. On the other hand, I do feel that if this plot is something you are interested in then this would definitely be something you would want to check out. Especially for $10.00! In saying that, I do believe that if presented right the ideas Jose presents here will go over very well in the audiences eyes. But I say presented right only that Jose leaves that up to you. In this PDF, Jose presents the "meat and potatoes" of the workings and leaves the presentation up to you. So if you are looking for a simple workable method to accomplish this type of an effect then I do believe this is worth the $10.00. RNK
