Of course, I'm not saying you should perform the burning bill thing... for a mentalist it would be the burning bill*t!
on a more serious note, Patrick's approach was perfect. There's nothing more powerful than performing something in the face of a potential client, and make them feel you know what you are doing and that you'll take care of the entertainment, so the host won't have to worry about that.
