Hey lads,
How's the craic?! Recently created a website and would loved some feedback on it if possible? I perform mentalism. I have a broad mix of clients ranging from corporate audiences, public stage performances, comedy clubs to weddings so I wouldn't really be targeting a specific audience as such. I also run a monthly Mindreading Room here which also gets a mention on the site. Would love to get opinions on the feel of the site. Does it look attractive? Is it easy to navigate? Any pages confusing? Cheers lads! Pete www.supernaturalbrothers.com |

Pete,
Your site is a bit confusing. Never been a fan of floating images over a background like that. I clicked on your UPCOMING SHOWS link about the Mindreading Room show and it took me to a weddings page. Shouldn't that be pointing to a page to buy tickets or at least more about the show? Also, not sure if you intended this but everything is aligned left. At least on my laptop it is. It might look a bit cleaner aligned center. Robert |

Thanks Robert! I didn't realise the Upcoming Show link brought browsers to the wedding page - how strange! Great catch appreciate that!
I looked at the page from multiple different laptops and from here everything is aligned down the middle but I will look into it further. Thanks again! 😊 Pete |

First thing I notice "The Supernatural Brothers" text is not easily read due to being a dark color on a dark background.
My personal preference is to have a flat background behind any text or videos. Having them scroll over a picture just hurts my eyes. That could just be me, though. I'm noticing a lot of the pictures are grainy or blurry. Also, the auto-scroll at the top of a couple pages - that's fast enough that it's jarring. I find myself wanting to scroll down just to hide that. I've personally never been a fan of the random-sized-thumbnail layout that is popular with sites like Pinterest but apparently I'm a minority there. I think the art on the home page looks great, though. And the site seems relatively easy to navigate and straight forward.

Hey Christopher,
Brilliant feedback - thank you! I will change the "Supernatural Brothers" text so it's more easily read. Didn't realise the quality of the photos were sub par. I'll have a good look again, ear mark the ones I feel are of poor quality and update with other pics! The art was actually done by a Spainish artist that I found online. A seriously talented man! Again really appreciate the feedback Robert and Christopher - gives me plenty to work on! |

"Craic" love that! Not often I hear that & I'm (till early 2017) just across the Irish Sea - to the north! I can't find too much wrong at all. If anything, maybe, just maybe, some photos could be sharper...but graining/soft focus has character also! And I really like the emphasis on audience reaction...plenty of smiling faces...very good. All in, it's a decent site, conveys the message, easy to navigate and does the job

I think it is nicely done and professional, but a couple of things leapt out at me on a casual, first-time browsing of the site that I think are perhaps worthy of consideration.
1) While the landing page background image is very nice art work, it is a bit inconsistent with the other pages on the site. Just my opinion. I'm of the mind that if you are going to have a artist rendering like that, perhaps there should be other similar images in continuing with the theme. The other pages have your beautiful coat of arms logo and other things as the background image. The landing page does make a nice impression, I was just expecting to see more of the same on the other pages as I delved deeper into the site and it wasn't there. 2) I would recommend getting a better video than those movie-trailer, plug and play pictures videos from iMovie software. While you did a nice job with that, potential clients, agents, etc., looking to hire you want to see real video of YOU in action at live shows, audience reactions, etc. You make up for that somewhat with an abundance of nice photos of audience reactions, but I believe you would also do well to show live video with those same responses. I'm sure that you're probably already working on it, but the sooner you have something better I would suggest putting it up. The big plus is, as Stu said, that it is very easy to navigate, not overly wordy, and sends a clear message of your style and the type of clients that you have successfully booked and the types of performances that you do. I believe it will help you book more of the same, if that's what you are looking to do.
