Been looking for a while for a steel part that is close to the dimension of a 1/4 inch x 1/2 inch cylinder magnet. Got to be some kind of pre made part out there.I had these made in a larger size by a metal shop.They just cut them out of steel rods but it was such a big hassle they wont do them anymore. Not very practical to make them as I will need 300 of the little boogers. Needs to be of a metal that a magnet will attract to. Needs to be less than $0.50 each. Hope somebody knows a part that will work.

Try looking for "1/4 inch x 1/2 inch steel dowel pins". There's a site, Whitehead Industrial, that lists them for $0.19 ea. FWIW Cheers!
