I think that this is one of the fastest most visible tricks out there. (You know, the one where he stands in the bit "sheetbox" in a black trenchcoat. He places a white lab coat and green pants in the suitcase, throws the "sheetbox" over his head and within a second it comes down revealing that he's wearing the white lab coat and green pants. I'm pretty sure this is his and his only, but is there any chance that this is available elsewhere? It'd be great in my act.

Kevin James created it. He has sold the rights to it to a select few. A couple of years ago he was talking about doing a DVD about this, but nothing ever happened. You may want to ask around at the KJBoard or just call Kevin directly. His phone number is on his web site.

Several years ago, Joshua Jay did a costume change as a part of his close-up competition (yes, close-up). He might be able to help you. Pretty cool website, too.

Hi,
I know that there is a problem with Quick-Changes in general, because each one is different... do you want to be able to change your clothes surrounded by people, with music, without music ( noise)what kind of shadow ( cover) do you want to use etc.And I personally know that the people who have a good working Quick-Change usually don´t want to share. I am the same way, I even don´t share my tailor with my magic friends. The only thing that will pay off is try and error a few times... I feel sorry for that, too!

Rudy Coby's version uses music, he is on stage, and he has a giant "follard" (actually more like sheets) that he throws over his head, similar to those used in Metamorhesis. I saw a magican who had coat hangars with rolls on them. He pulled on the roll and a sheet of paper came out (like those chalkboard maps in elementary school) and there would be a picture of a tie. When the thing went back up he was wearing the tie. Pretty cool.

Hi Jordini,
you are talking about Danny Cole?Yes, his Quick-Change is really pretty cool... The best Quick-Change I have seen yet is the one of Chris Joker ( a friend of mine )he won second prize parlor magic at FISM with two quckchanges, starting in T- shirt and short pants to a smoking and back to T- Shirt and short pants using only a large towel as cover...

They should translate it into English, I'm very sure it will sell very well.

Suggestion: Ask a German Teacher if he would translate it for you. I once had a German Teacher translate a set of Instuctions. He read it out on a tape recorder.
The only thing is that the German language is not as detailed as English. I found with my instructions, there was not any way to give minute details in that language. Now I do not want German speaking people to jump on me. This was my experience with this one set of instructions. Maybe it was just written poorly. The transulator did give a couple of meanings to certain words. |

Is this site a magic related site?
since I don't understand a thing of german I couldn't make out. if it is I suggest we all write to the author and maybe if there is enough request they might make a translation. |

Hi!
I read the book, it´s pretty good... but you have to know there is only one rule to do create a Quick-Change: there is no rule! Dream your quick-change and find a tailor who can help you!Anyway I hope the book will be translated because it is good and( sadly)only in German! Tip: Use magnets! Hi 2.Tip: Study the work of Aturo Bracetti!!!!! If you can see him work, pay any prize! 3. Tip: Look at the download at http://www.bracetti.com

Is there a dealer I can get the Monique Monros book? I don't think you can directly purchase something from Murphy's Magic Supplies right? They go straight to dealers. I am very very interested in a Quickchange.
