I was lucky enough that Rix sent me a one to review, as soon as I watched the video I had a great big smile it's so so so simple but makes one hell of an effect.. I had a two hour corporate walk around show last weekend and road tested this little bad boy a lot, to the point I'm half way through my deck.. the reactions I received were hard hitting just the power of the change in their hands in their minds is incredible..

Exactly , just the change in their hands. Is it any stronger than a DL and any other transpo effect requiring absolutley no gimmick? At the moment of the shock it really doesn't matter how you got there. Its a shock.
But other well establish methods don't fall apart with a little back tracking. If you use David William's "Torn and restored Transpo " you get twice the punch of this from an ordinairy deck and a clean finish. |

I take it you mean the DL was obvious to you.
If it was obvious to non magicians then we would all be out of business. However, my point was about the effect , not the cause. |

This is about having only one card, they seem to select a totally free choice and the card in your hand apparently changes into their selected card. Don't get caught up thinking like a magician. To make this really powerful, you must think like a spectator. For that reason, I carefully script everything that I do to have purpose. So, when showing the wrong card, my patter is along the lines of "of course this can't be the card you just thought of, that would be a nearly impossible coincidence". However, when the card apparently changes into the card they thought of and there is no other card anywhere around, it is unexplainable magic to the spectator. This effect could be sold poorly, but it can be sold as a complete impossibility, something that can't be explained except for pure magic. Have you ever seen the exact same effect performed by two different people, one who is a master at selling the magic vs some random youtube performer who practiced the effect for ten minutes before cranking up his video recorder? One looks like pure magic and the other looks completely transparent. KJ |
