Can anyone say if there is any significant difference between these two types of rubberbands for ring on band effects (other than the fact that the Rindfleisch ones are colored). Is one of these more durable or stretchable than the other?

I don’t know about the Scanzello bands but the Rainbow and other specialty bands from Joe Rindfleisch are very good. He treats them with a product called Elastraflex, which makes them stronger, longer lasting, and able to stretch further. I even purchased a bottle to coat the bands more. Like I said, I can't say anything about the Scanzello bands as I haven't seen them. But I can vouch for the Rindfleisch bands and recommend them. Couldn't hurt to buy some of each and give them your own mini-comparison test.

I agree with J-Mac, Joe's bands are awesome (and I do a ton of rubber band stuff). DO you have a link for the Scanzello bands? I have actually never heard of them before. Thanks.

Actually, what I am looking for is a link to any bands he sells besides the "refill bands" for "PI". (Which are nothing more than #19 - Alliance Pale Crepe Gold Rubber Bands and are $13 and change for a pound on Amazon (approx 2000 bands) and cheaper if you find a local office supply that sells them to businesses - compared to $10.50 for approx 350 bands sold as "refill") However the "refill" is fine if you are only doing that one effect and maybe CMH and don't want to stock or store a whole box. I store mine in ziplock baggies after coating on some Elastraflex and keep them in a cool dark place. They will last for years.
I use those alliance bands in both #19 and #16 (not as often) for CMH and PI as well as a couple other effects. The color bands that Joe sells are #19 (and I believe most are non-latex. I make this assumption based on buying both blue and orange in bulk before Joe started offering the colors and my bulk purchases were non-latex "medical bands") I do not know why, but that was what the boxes said and the bands Joe sells feel pretty much identical to them, just more colors than I found in my own research. I originally bought the blue and orange (1 pound ea) for performing "Melting Point" by Casshan Wallace. I then realized that even though the Pale Crepe bands were a bit more "invisible" when it came to CMH, I could still do it very convincingly with the colored bands. Now, with this HUGE selection of colors and the added "Elastraflex", I have great "give aways", popping colors and longer better storage life in my bands. Plus it opens up a whole realm of "color changing band effects" anything from a casual fashion statement on your wrist to very formal Black and White bands (I wear when doing a classy dress show with suit and tie). It adds "a little something" in my opinion. All that said though, the Pale Crepes are awesome bands and work well. You are just limited with the effects you can do such as color changing effects or penetration effects (band thru band) that you need to show "convincingly" that one is thru the other.
