Bryce: Of course there is several ways to do DW, that is not the point with the Stealth writer. The advantage is that you will add new layers of deception and also allow the audience to be part of the performance. Because you are writing on the whiteboard, everyone in the room can see and understand what's happening. It is all about entertaining right? I consider it more entertaining to be able to read what the performer writes on the pad. If we weren't bound of the mechanics of a classic confabulation method, would we really choose a small pad and a pen to write down information in front of a large audience? If I, with no bounds to methods would construct a routine where I will have a prediction in an envelope and letting the audience come up with, let's say a travelogue, I would make it in this way:
1. I would write down the called out information so that everyone can follow, for verification and to emphasize the magic experience. 2. I would use a marker that obviously differ from the prediction, not only for the spectator on stage but for the whole audience.¨ 3. I would make sure that I had several minor effects during the routine so the audience would be entertained. 4. The prediction should be connected to the plot of the routine and interesting to keep, so the spectator want to have the prediction as a gift (so I can get my contact information out) That is why I developed the Stealth writer and the handling. The idea of having a different style of pen is nice and I can see value in that. Is the whiteboard an integral part of the effect or can a regular pad be used?

Just made a new trailer for the effect, this will also answer your question Bryce - No you don't need to use a dry erase marker.
