For everybody who loves manipulation. There is now a DVD out from from FRED KAPS, three TIMES FISM GRAND PRIX WINNER. For me the best magician ever lived.

Thanbks for letting us know about this. It is certainly going to be added to my collection. Kaps was a wonderous manipulator.

The site does not have a way to order the DVD! When will it be available?
I only hope it has all his appearances on it and not only the one from the sample. |

Wmhegbli, if you click on the middle part---the red star shape with 39.95---then it will be clear.

Just received the FRED KAPS DVD. His complete act which won him the third time FISM grand prix is great to watch. He is so quick. I think the youngsters from today can't follow him. Also interview with Pete Biro, Ger Copper, Johnny Thompson. I am glad I can watch this over and over again.

I hate the lighting on my interview section. I am NOT that ugly in person.

You are not ugly, as is the interview. Thank you for sharing your stories about Fred Kaps. I enjoyed it very much.

Robert Blake, you have a point. You can watch Fred Kaps over and over again.
I have been in the situation I have seen a lot of live performances of Mr. Kaps, very often from out off the wings, and every time I discovered something new in his act. Tonight, before sleeping, I think I’ll look again to that special act he put together for the 50th anniversary of the MZD (Magischer Zirkel von Deutschland) in 1962. I’m sure, Robert, you like the part with all those card juggling. The inspiration was Jean Valton. It is true …Seeing is believing. Pete Biro, let me tell you on the day of the presentation of the DVD, Barry (the eldest daughter of Kaps) told me again you are looking very well even on a big screen. In a next posting maybe I’ll tell more about the situations Barry has met Mr. Biro. OK I’ll tell you something about that. It has happened quite a lot of times. Barry, before going to school, has met her father during breakfast sitting together with all those magicians coming from abroad. Next week I hope to have a picture of Barry and Eric Eswin, secretary general of FISM, on my site :www.fredkaps.com |

Dick: I just think the lighting was too harsh under my chin.
Please give my Kindest Regards to Barry. I have a picture of her somewhere with an Origami Bird she made... took in the Bongers living room.

I wanted this dvd because of the Fred Kaps card routine.
In the past I have seen it once and fell in love with this routine. Not because I want to do it, but because Fred Kaps did it so great. Imagine just one person with a deck of cards. With that he toured around the world. Nowadays an illusionist need at least two truck loads full of equipment. I also like the cigarette routine and the giant coins routine. This Fred Kaps DVD inspired me, and I have learned again why I like magic so much. Thank you, Dick, for making it possible that a younger generation of magicians can see a real legend at work. |
