Decades ago, I was given a watch. (Almost 40 years)
When you touched the stem, the hands rotated rapidly. I think you had to turn the stem just a bit. I also remember this was a self wind, not battery operated watch. Any ideas?

Yes it was 40 years or more, when this pocket watch was sold by the late great Ken Brooke Magic Place in England. I still have mine, it is a work of great workmanship.
It came with a little small sheet of instructions, and the only idea presentation wise was "How Time Flies", which, without digging it was the name he sold it under. His idea was an impromptu Topit vanish. Show the watch with the hands spinning, then vanish the watch, and say, "How Time Flies"! Just hold your arm against your body while ditching. Of course you could simply attach a reel or elastic pull as well. It was, I believe just a humorous fill in effect. One of those little effects that many times get more reaction then what many think is killer magic trick. |

Yeah! I had one also. IIRC, mine had a pin so that you could use a HooCoin move.

Mine was a gift from young man. He made it himself.
I like to do watch gags such as Watch with no hands or numbers. The time is NOW. Watch made to look like a sun dial. I got it during my years of doing Ren Fest. Thanks for the reminder of Ken Brooke & Time flies and other makers of this prop. Harris.
