Marlana and I were discussing Christmas dinner and a question arose that neither of us could answer, but on which we were sure you could shed some light:
Are vegans allowed to eat dirt? My concern is that they might accidentally get some animals in there; e.g., earthworms. Anyway, any help you can offer will be gratefully received. Merry Christmas! |

This reminds me of a kosher-for -Passover question a college acquaintance once asked about, which I can't repeat on a family board, but would fall into a similar realm as fingernails...

I never ate dirt when I was a carnivore and I won't eat it now as a herbivore.
