I got this at the House of Magic in SF, which since has closed. (It was free w/ purchase of another trick). It was given to me when I first started w/ magic and since then I hadn't used it because it required MOVES. I started using it the other day and people LOVE it. Does anyone else use this? I like it because it's the same effect you can get w/ spongeballs, but w/ a twist.

Hmm,
I don't recognize the name... maybe if you described the effect/props in a bit more detail?

You start by pulling out three sponge "go's" These are basically spongeballs but they are in the shape of the word GO.
You place one of the go's into a spectators hand to hold, as pick up the second go. You ask the spectator to say go. You open your hand revealing the GO has dissapeared. The spectator opens their hand to reveal TWO sponge goes. This is repeated w/ the third go, making it vanish from the magi's hand and appear in the spectator's. At the end, the spectator sqeezes all three GO's together and yells go. You ask if it is gone. They say "no" because they can still feel it in their hand. You tell them to say go again and ask if it's gone. It's still not gone. When they open their hand, all three GO's have turned into the word GONE and you tell them "it is gone!" |
