I'm English so maybe I'm in a minority in not having heard of these books.
All Wind And Twists is the booklet we go for over here, and there are a couple of sequals. Small and very cheap. Don't try and learn to much at once, you want a simple book with only a few models to start with. I can recomend an Italian pair of books " Fantastici Palloncini " too, when you have the basics. I have this book in my library. It's good and well worth the investment.

I recommend each one of them but if I had a choice I would get the Captain Visual's Big Book of Balloon Art 1st , The Big Book of Balloons 2nd and the The Ultimate Balloon Book 3rd. Only reason for the order is there is more material in my 1st choice. The 2nd choice is good for holidays and the 3rd doesn't have as much material as the others but has nice sculptures. Have you tried going to the balloonhq.com site. Its probably the largest balloon site there is. Also mbd2.com is a good site to frequent especially if you register and can gain access to the balloon instruction forum. If you have any questions just ask. Later, Chris |
