Hello,
I just got myself a new appearing and vanishing bottle. It is a clear coke bottle, quite well made. I am coming out with a routine for it and I need some ideas from you guys~! What I am thinking of is using a brown paper bag with it. I will put the bottle in the bag and claim to make it disappear. I will then turn the bag upside down while still holding the bottle. The crowd will jeer. After a few gags and laughs about which hand I am holding the bottle and upside down, behind, in front, I then casually crush the paper bag with the bottle still inside and toss it away. What do you guys think? |

What you've described is basically the standard way to use this prop. I would brainstorm some unique ideas, and try and come up with something a little more exciting.
If all else fails... stick to this presentation |

Something a little different can be found on Martin Lewis's Making Magic video. It's called "snacks alive" and is a great routine with a few kickers added on to the classic routine. The only downfall to performing it is you will not be original...

Don Lawton added the magicial (?) change to another bottle like a 7up bottle. Having both in the bag simulate a magicial change. Bring out the other bottle. When you have the real bottle out hit the table to prove it solid. Alernating the change back and forth at least 3 times. For the finale crush the bag.

I use a real bottle with my ketchup version. I temporarily put the bottle down whilst I pick up the bag and show it. Then I pick up the Nielson bottle. Never had any probs with it before.
