This might not be the right forum (so I apologise in advance) - but I just want to express my frustration at not being able to find the kind of playing cards I want.
What I want: High quality (faro-able); white bordered tasteful/traditional backs; white fronts; custom, but traditional looking, court cards; with available matching gaffs. Anyone know of such cards? |

Have you looked at the Phoenix deck?

Yes. It's great. But it doesn't have custom court cards.

Have you tried the Superior brand cards from CARC/EPCC? They satisfy your criteria, depending on how custom you want the custom courts to be. In this case they look like regular court cards, but not the traditional bike artwork. There is also a Superior gaff deck available.
Other than that, I suspect finding a custom deck with matching gaff cards (aside from the odd double backer or what not in the deck itself) is going to be a pretty tall order. |

No - I haven't. I'll look into those . Thanks.
Yes, custom court cards with gaffs seems to be an impossible demand! . Maybe your suggestion will do the trick. |

How about the Richard Turner Gold Seal Bike decks. A big step up from the standard Bike deck.

I just remembered the Anglo Poker Edition09 decks also meet your criteria. Possibly worth checking out as well.

Cheers for the info, I'm looking into them.
I've also come across the ellusionist artifice decks - anyone got experience of those? |

Tom G: How does the RT go,d seal meet my criteria? I didn't think they have custom court cards?

I must admit I'm not a fan, but if you like the back design, I guess they meet your criteria too. Good quality, custom courts and gaffs in the form of The Gaff System. My understanding is the Gaff System gaffs are not your typical gaffs cards and were designed (I think by Daniel Madison, Calen Morelli and Eric Jones?) for specific tricks using the system. This would seem to make them less versatile to my eyes, but don't take my word for it. As I said, I don't particularly like the Artifice design, so I don't have any of the decks and I haven't paid a great deal of attention to them. I'm sure someone else can give you more accurate, detailed information in this area. |

Do black NOC's have the custom courts you're looking for? There's a gaff deck for that.

NOC V3s were one of the first that came to mind, indeed I almost suggested them along with the Superior decks, but they have standard courts. The back design isn't really traditional either. Although, for the record, I love the minimalist style!
