Hi All,
I've done a search and couldn't find a thread on this, so thought I'd share my thoughts by way of a brief review. This is a beautiful, visually stunning routine, where you appear to pull dollar coins out of the 'hole' in a chinese coin using a pair of tweezers. It's a whimsical concept and a beautiful illusion. You will need to practise to get it looking as good as the trailer (but we're not afraid of practise, right?) - but apart from (to my mind) a few small angle issues this is a lovely effect. You get everything you need to perform it in the box - you just need to supply the practise hours. You can read a slightly more detailed review here: http://www.bicycle-cards.co.uk/2017/06/1......-review/ |

"There was a thread, but it got deleted. A second thread was started, but checking, it looks like that was deleted, too."
Here's the thread that's still active: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=218 |

O thanks! I don't know how easy it is to move this to the other thread so I'll leave it here for the mods

I am just now starting to practice Chinese Tweezers. Love how visual it looks. Tweezers supplied are very cheap. Paying almost entirely for the method, although the ungimmicked coins are supplied. So far, its a little knacky but hopefully will work it out with more practice. Certainly not a knuckle buster, by no means.

Is this good for close up and how are the angles?

Chinese Tweezers excels as a close up effect. Should limit the viewing angle to probably a little less than 180 degrees and certainly nothing behind you or to the extreme side of you. The video instructions are short and to the point. It would have greatly helped to have had an over the shoulder view of the effect. It is a Beautiful effect that does not require much coin skills to perform, just repetitive practice to make the appearance of the coin look smooth. Also, I think a better pair of tweezers will allow for a smoother execution of the coin appearance. The tweezers supplied are awful (flimsy) and make "gabbing" the coin harder than it should be.
