Dear fellow magicians,
The way to perform a trick that I did several decades ago has been forgotten. I cannot find any guiding notes for it nor patter in my files. Perhaps some of you are able to help me out with this... I have not been able to find similar tricks on the Magic Café. Such was the reason to begin this new topic. The trick was hand-made by me from a US or British book borrowed from a public library in Canada during 1998. The images which may be downloaded from the following link (https://www.dropbox.com/s/f6ogbamqkr95zs0/Animales%20Granja2.jpg?dl=0) show both sides of the corresponding cards. The back of the cards is a barn. The third card has a horse on one side and a cow on the other. Kids were made to say the name of the animals and to imitate their noises... The special horse-cow card was somehow made to turn around and change places... In the end the card which was meant to be the cow or horse is turned around to show a question mark. Something of that sort, which I have forgotten. I would appreciate any support that you can provide with respect to operation and patter for these tricks. I remember that both were very entertaining for my audiences, but cannot recall how to perform it. Thanks in advance. Alberto Lobo-Guerreo S. “Mago Tato” Bogota, D.C., Colombia ageo@logemin.com |

It seems that the trick I described is an early version of the "Farmyard Frolics". If you google that, you may be able to obtain further information. A Brazilian geologist, Magico Carbonell, has a wonderful presentation of the trick. You can watch it on the following link:

That video is "Who's who at the zoo" Great effect. I used it for years in my preschool shows. Durable.
