I am a fan of Rafael's work, but you will need to be pretty advanced with a deck of cards as this is not an easy routine to do. Each of the three phases uses a different method, and its certainly fooling in his hands, but personally its not for me as it will require too much practice when I don't see it as huge advancement over the ACAANs I currently use. That's just my opinion though- and even though I wont use it, there are some nice nuggets he shares that can potentially be applied to other card routines. In the right hands, this would be a strong effect though.

Yeah, this is a knuckle buster for sure. It's amazing how clean he makes it look, considering how much is going on....

Does anyone know if this is the same a "A Card And A Number" from his Elegant Magic DVD, or if there are any updates to the original routine?

Thanks.

It's as sleight-heavy as you fear. Think "How would a card mechanic do it?" and there you are.

Hi jcroop. It is the same routine with the fine-tuning of another 20 years performing it. It's worth it if you get into it.
