One guess? No, I've seen a few of their episodes where they list 3 or 4 guesses.
On this particular episode with Compressed, no, you would have to be a complete neophyte to actually believe this illusion truly fooled them. They have advanced expertise on stage illusions of all kinds. A stage illusion being performed on that show has little to no chance of actually truly fooling them. This one was definitely a freebie. Totally agree with JNeal's assessment that in the first year of this show, it was more genuine where the attempts were real. Since then it is more about ratings and making "good television". If they want to keep their show on the air for another season, they have to comply and play the game. A percentage will have to be allowed to pass through to keep the interest going and keep the show on the air. Just a fact of life of modern television. |
