Sorry if ESP is from Psycho *Kinetic* Dice - than that is a long since sold effect
I believe it went for over $100 back in the day - and is nothing to do with Steve Cook or either this version [or V2 Magic Wagon version] IT's here: http://themagiccafe.com/forums/viewtopic......forum=15 |

The video with the ESP dice has nothing to do with the trick in this thread, except sharing the same name.
And it also uses some unusual dice, but totally different method and effect. |

I don't have Die-Abolical but the second prediction always seemed nonsense to me because, unless I am missing something, it automatically follows from the first.
But I like the basic effect and have ordered Psycho Dice. Mike |

As regards 'Psycho Dice' and 'Die-Abolical V2', they are both very different: with 'Die-Abolical V2' the box can be shown completely all around; there are two separate predictions, and the effect can be repeated with a different outcome. 'Psycho Dice' has been resurrected by Kaymar Magic here in the UK. This was the very first version of 'Die-Abolical' many years ago, and because of the differences mentioned, there was no reason why it should not be released init original particular format. I take no financial benefit whatsoever from its release. 'Die-Abolical V2' was produced by Magic Wagon in a limited edition of 100 units worldwide, and therefore, this beautiful wooden version will become a real collectors item. For those wanting a cheaper alternative, with less advantages, but still a strong effect, the 'Psycho Dice' might fit the bill for you. Do not, however, underestimate the strength of 'Psycho Dice'. Wayne Dobson used the same method used in 'Psycho Dice' a number of times on British TV with great success.

I received this today, I like it...I also bought die-abolical 2, and, while I love magic wagon manufactured items, and it looks pretty, I would have been just as happy with this version, really. Steve summarizes it nicely, early incarnation of same trick...I can see this fooling people and I'll use it. I think sometimes we underestimate the impact on specs, even if we don't think it's the trick of the year!

Thank you. Totally agree. Well said! Honestly, 'Die-abolical' in all its incarnations (and at presentI have at least five) has fooled both laymen and magicians/mentalists alike. Wayne Dobson immediately saw its potential many years ago, and that's why he chose to use it on TV. It is such a simple premise, but what makes the whole thing strong, is that you have a SOLID prediction inside the box which is in full view from the very start. The worst thing you can do is underestimate this little effect. Truly!

I'd like to find a better box but I'm not in a hurry. |
