Interesting?
https://youtu.be/D9YpQFQuhS8 It's quite refreshing to see a trailer that doesn't look like a teaser for a Hollywood blockbuster or the X-Factor. |

It does look very good
BUT the name 'prop-less' Who is the documentary for [?] If it's for mentalists/magicians - ok But if it's for normal/mass consumption, why would they care about props or propless [?] What I mean [rather than why would they care] - you are highlighting the wrong thing - to them it's nothing to do with tricks [props/words<propless>] I think if it is for specs - then something along the lines of Bob Cassidy's 'Master Mind reader' - but a new original version of that for PT... would be in order |

Sorry, I should have explained that it's only for those who have Inner Thoughts. But I know not every Inner Thoughter goes there all the time, and it was buried in another thread there.
If Peter wants me to get this thread removed from Penny, I'll ask the mods. |

I loved peter products and have tried quite a few in the last years. not all suited me, and not all were easy to do. but the ones who I managed to connect to - I do up until this day.
After seeing him live for 2 days in a convention at my country, I can most definitely say, he know's what hes doing! From making a stage persona, to fooling a room full of magicians and even the big names with the tiny subtleties he have thought of. Cant wait to see whats coming up next! |

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the whole thing -it looks very raw and honest-, but I don't know why Peter feels the need to prove the effectiveness of prop-less as a stand-alone technique, as he has spoken on several occasions about making sure you mix methods. Plus, I can't imagine those completely opposed to prop-less as a concept will be converted anytime soon.

Can't see why it really matters why he's doing it. He got an idea to do something, he's doing it. I see no need for further motivation than the simple desire to create a thing. Isn't that the basis of art? Wanting to create something, and then creating it?

Peter has stated his motivation for doing it; it's in response to this challenge in Inner Thoughts:
"I think prop-less seems to work in the very videos that people use to sell it - pestering people in bars, college campus' and coffee shops. It might work for a one off bit in a show. I have said before, if it's so good, show me someone that can do a hour show of it without boring the p..s out of everyone." I just don't think it's particularly worthwhile trying to shift such entrenched opinions. But if anyone can, I'm sure Peter can. |

A "show" doesn't have to be on stage, does it? Have you never seen a Judy Garland/Mickey Rooney movie?

On Oct 17, 2017, Martin Pulman wrote: You haven’t seen the conclusion yet lol - it might say to never try this stuff back to back I was honest and fair - I did twenty odd minutes and could have gone for longer if I’d wanted but just wanted to see IF it were possible to move from prop-less piece to prop-less piece... to one group. When the documentary airs I will no longer be calling it propless I’ve coined a new term I think we will all agree is better (but that’s my opinion). The performances are all there warts and all and I did my best to be entertaining - this is not my go to material in times of close up but hopefully you guys will love the video and there’s even one part where there is sound interference, did I cut it? Nope!! I subtitled the beast and left it in so you could see everything I didn’t use lift, pk touches and I did write the revelations down BUT I could have verbalised them, I define what my definition of this is and how it’s best used. I break down each performance in detail and even share subtleties that I’ve never discussed. I’ve left it open and looked from both sides of the camp - This stuff can work easily on stage, I chose this arena because it was easy to get a friend to put out a Facebook post and find people. All start as sceptics and one girl really is a nuisance, she interrupted made sure we knew she didn’t want to be there and you guys get to see if they leave as sceptics and if she in the end had a change of opinion. - Don’t expect a happy end or think this all went smoothly, you’ll have to watch to see x |
