I came across a reference of deck that, when spread, showed a complete deck on one side and when spread on the other side, showed all 10 of diamonds. Does anyone know if that was someone's marketed, single-effect pack or a gaff deck that is still generally available?

And is there a name for it?

And are they available?

And if so, where?

So many questions.

I had not come across that double face deck set up before. Got to thinking of some ideas for a deck like that and want to see if they still exist.

Thanks!

Sounds like a Mastermind deck (also or previously known as a Monte Cristo deck).

Spread or fanned one way, the cards all appear different; spread or fanned the other way, they appear all the same.

Currently the Mastermind deck is available from Chris Kenworthey in four versions, giving you a choce between the 3H, 3S, 2C, or 2D (sorry, no 10D version that I know of) as the identity of the deck when all cards appear identical.

Or did you mean “the other side” in the sense of the back of the deck?

I meant all the cards were double facers, printed so spread on one side the deck it shows a normal 52 cards. Then turn the deck over, as though you are turning a normal deck face down, a spread now shows all the same card.

In other words each card is double face...same card on one side and on the other side one of the other 52 cards (for example 10D/4S...next card 10D/5S...next card 10D/6S, etc.)

Got a lead on this type of deck that was created for a specific effect, except it shows all jokers on one side. I'd need it to show a non-joker.

Any other leads?

Gideon, you are a genius. I was indeed the Double Face Special deck I saw - part, I guess, of a run of cards put out under Magic Christian's name. Unfortunately they are (were?) bridge size. Wonder if something like it is made in Poker size Bicycles...
