Tenyo Arcane is the perfect effect for a five year old.
Look, its Short, blink its long. You wave it nothing happens. I wave it, well you get it. Any other perfect Tenyo ideas for my grandson? THANKS! Ed |

Hi Ed, are you looking for effects your grandson can perform or for effects you think he will enjoy seeing you perform?

Effects I think he will enjoy seeing

... I bet he would pretty much enjoy watching his Granddad perform any of them....

I think Tenyo's Money Splash could be quite entertaining; who doesn't love the multiplying money plot? This was one of the first effects I've bought, but I have to admit that I've never got it to work consistently.

For kids of that age I'd either choose something very visual (think of Lubor Fiedler's items like 4D Surprise for example) or something examinable to repeat and have them try themselves.
Bird Watcher is a good way to have them deal with numbers and improve their skills I especially agree with Lucky Rabbit, this can be played as a game over and over.

Sort of my thinking as well... colorful, simple plot, and ideally with animation. Giving a child a Crash Dice and asking them to shake it provides a wonderful moment for them.

My little boy is 1 year and 5 months old He likes BIG, VISUAL things.
I suspect children age 5 also like stuff that really gets their attention. - Clyde, just because he's funny and looks alive - a 5 year old child doesn't 'realy' understand the values of cards ... ; - Animation Frame, Japanese version with the real Pinochio - first let him touch the card, put it in the frame, do the trick - works better for small children that way ... ; - Illusion Truck (fast, gets his attention) - - the 5 year old child looses interest, do the trick with the biscuits (the +2016 trick) and give hime one. - DONE - THE END |
