They are the Multiplying Billard Ball trick. The titles refer Laurie Ireland, who established Ireland's Magic Company. Which is now Magic, Inc. in Chicago, Ill.
Francis Marshall was married to Laurie Ireland, when he died she took the business over and married Jay Marshall. Before Fakini, Ireland balls were the easiest to manipulate. They were designed like golf balls. They now have a new design to the material used to make the balls. Hope this answered your question. |

Best Billiard Ball manipulator? Hmmm..my favorites..
Cardini Petrik & Mia Ron MacMillan All 3 had this routine as a key component of their act.

There is a set called The "Chicago Multiplying Sponge Balls". It is sometimes referred to as the "Chicago Billiard Balls".
It is very much a traditional billiard ball set EXCEPT it is made from super soft sponge balls. The gimmick is very deceptive (looks just like a sponge ball) and a couple of the “regular” balls can be crammed into it. This makes the one to four production very easy.
The artist formally known as Mumblepeas!

I did a search before I made the post above. See this web page.
http://www.magicinc.net/index.asp?PageAc......dID=1117 Magic Inc. still sells the white balls set, these are the superball material. So they have the golf balls as well as the yellow balls as Harry mentioned. |
