Hello all, I just bought a flipper coin from magicwarehouse and I was surprised that it didn't come with ANY instructions, not even how to set it up. I was wondering if someone could PM me and just tell me how to set up the gimmick so I can use it. I'm planning on buying the hooser vids but I don't have enough money yet. Thank you.

I PMd him on this. I thought I'd let you all know. Just trying to save time and repetition for everyone...

Jamie Schoolcraft, via Dean Dill sells the Swadling Flipper Coin. If you can ever get by Dill's shop he will blow you away with this coin.

Pete's got that right! You should have seen the eyes of the magicians watching Dean perform one of his routines with his Swadling coin at the Castle Swap Meet.

I got one of those coins at the swap meet. It is great and I am not a big coin guy.

I couldn't get close to Dill's table, he had a massive crowd all day.
The KILLER trick is explained in Mathieu Bich's lecture notes. He fried me with it in his close-up show and he told me, "It's in the notes." So I bought 'em. Seeing Joe Porper's line up miraculous work was a treat for many too.

Which trick Pete? Lots of goodies in the two sets of notes I have.

If you don't mind me asking, where can I find those notes? I recently bought one of those coins also. Thanks in advance.

What is a Swadling Flipper Coin? I know what a Flipper Coin is (I have two). I've never heard Swadling before though.

The effect is the same for both a "normal" flipper and a Swadling. The differences are in the "open" appearance and the construction. I don't think it's appropriate to divulge too much about the construction, but the difference in appearance is that there's no groove. There are a couple of practical differences, too, but I'm not enough of an expert to discuss them with any authority.
There ya go! Cryptic enough for those not "in the know", but clear enough for the rest. Dan

There are some great routines using the Flipper in Troy Hooser's book "Destroyers", it has some sleights using it and then teaches some routines. The other material in the book is great aswell, the flipper stuff may be on his DVD set released through Bob Kohler: http://www.bobkohlermagic.com/

Bob Swadling is the guy who invented the coin gaff. That is why it's called a swadling coin. Calling the thing a 'flipper' is as insulting as calling my coins across 'three fly'.

I like the flipper. I just came up with my own killer version of 3 fly, and a new coins accross with this coin, and maybe a few others, ahah lol. I would recommend this coin to most coin users. If it doesn't make you think up a new trick with it, then hopfully you can polish up one of your other effects with this to make it cleaner.
