The deck shown here is the Firecracker Playing Cards deck, cleverly designed to look exactly like a package of actual fireworks.
It was inspired by authentic firecracker artwork made in Macau in the 1950s. Does anyone know what the Chinese lettering on the card backs says when translated into English? |

The Chinese word is writing in simpified Chinese.
In traditional Chinese, it write as "水狀且滋養" Meaning: Watery and Moisturizing I think it related to skin care product advertisement |

Bizarre choice for words on a deck like this!
Maybe they picked it from a sign without having any idea of the meaning! |
