Hi Robert! I don't think that I have Channing Pollock's Dissolving Knot, but, next time that I'm out to my storage facility, I'll "double check".
Of course, I do have Tarbell's Dissolving Knot! I wrote up 4 or 5 pages in my "Road Scholar" book, with notes on Karrell Fox's and my "session" about 35 years ago. We discussed just about all the knots in Tarbell! -and, the knots that I've used since, came from that session, with one exception: The "Left Handed Knot". When I do an occasional strolling job, "the knots" are well used! If I can't find Pollocks, I'll send you some notes from the Fox "session"....

This is the second identical question regarding Channing Pollock silk knot. I can't remember where I learned it, but is was while I was learning dove magic, maybe Neil Foster's Dove Production from Marian Chavez's Encyclopedia book.
This is a standard rope and silk knot. What has brought these inquires on all of a sudden is puzzling to say the least. I found it in Rice's More Naughty silk booklet. http://www.silkkingmagic.com/Rice's%20M......ilks.htm |
