Can anyone give me suggestions on obtaining a set of blank hippity hop props? I have an idea for the graphics, but zero prop making (at least professionally looking) skills.
Thanks in advance |

There are those in our community who take on outside projects. Dan Wolfe at Smoky Mountain Magic regularly contracts for custom work and has some fantastic products of his own. Also individual magicians with craft knowledge do the same... search for Stephen Kilgore on facebook, or join a facebook group like Surplus Magic Exchange (lots of fine folks there.) Personally I've been waiting many years for Chance Wolf to take on this, but searches on the café show he's been back and forth on this.

Something like the Smoky Mountain Magic Easter Plaque or the Smoky Mountain Magic Vanishing Elephant could be re-themed with different pictures (graphics), because the background for the graphic isn't shaped, unlike on many Hippity Hop Tricks.
https://www.smmagic.com/?p=513 https://www.smmagic.com/?p=383 (Note - I'm pretty sure that both of these tricks have a single plaque and single cover... so, you might need to buy a pair depending on what routine you are trying to create.) Steve Taylor also made Hippity Hop Friends on a rectangular background, instead of a shaped background. I think those might have been made on card stock instead of wood or plastic. Someone correct on that, if I'm wrong. This is what the prop looked like: https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/h......88248622 - Donald

Drosenbe0813: You might consider a Hippity Hop version made from super jumbo cards (8.5" x 11") that you print yourself, using any images you wish to use or design on your computer. It's called "In Their Hands Hippity Hops" and is found in The Wizards' Journal #33. You perform it using two helpers from the audience to hold the rabbit (or whatever)cards and instead of covering them with wooden tubes, they are covered with large polyester scarves from the Dollar Store, or any cloth that is large enough to hide them (like kitchen towels, bar cloths, gift wrap paper, etc.). The rabbits change places and change colors as in the original Hippity Hop Rabbit trick, but the spectators (and audience) haven't got a clue as to how it is happening. Because you design the images yourself on your own computer, you can do things like have a photo of your face on the bunnies, and then deny that the bunnies look anything like you. Drives kids crazy!

Maybe (do not know for sure) you can transform the following trick into your trick by simply gluing your graphics to the props:

Thanks..I saw that on his site, but its not really what I'm looking for. I emailed Smoky Mountain and bought the MagicNook trick. '
Thanks for all the input |
