It's a tough choice between this and my Thought Control routine, but I love that Psyware feels completely devoid of deception on the performer's part. Psyware is the closest that I've come to real mind reading. I'm so happy you guys are enjoying it! |

Can be done this trick in other language, or only is possible to do it in English in the current version?
Sign divination can be made in German, Spanish...? Thanks in advance Matt.

Did my first couple of name guesses also. Messed one up slightly (it was a tough name) and got an even better reaction for the partial reveal, just made it look more real! Reminded me that 'sincerity' is more important than 'polish' and missing occasionally is GOOD in mentalism.

According to what you said in the beginning of your post above, would you be so kind to confirm whether the method is strictly language depended? If it's a YES indeed and anyone who doesn't speak or perform in English, reads your book and has to adapt the method to his own language, how difficult does this seem to be done according to your experience? And regardless, let's say of the fact that this would be a difficult task or not, how close to success does the result (when adapting the method to another language) seem to be in comparison with the usage of your original method by performing in English? Thank you in advance. Kindest regards, Andrew

Sorry, Matt. I just noticed a few posts above regarding the possibility to adapt your method to
other languages. However, if you don't mind, a brief reply/confirmation would be well appreciated. All the best, Andrew

Hey Andrew,
I can't really say much more than what I've already explained. I can tell you that it isn't just translating the words, but basically creating a system of your own based on the Psyware concept that I developed. I've had one person create a French version of the system, and it seemed as though he worked it out the same day that he read the book, but I can't speak for how difficult it may be to adapt to other languages. One of the reasons I love Magic, and Mentalism especially, is that it is often about the application of intelligence, analysis and creativity in order to create wonder.
Matt Mello's work is such fun to read as it always involves this application of intelligence and creative thinking. 'Psyware' is another example of his brilliant and intelligent thinking. He has developed a brilliant system to divine letters and names. Once you have the system in your head, that's it. You can divine them any time, any place, without anything written down. I was filled with delight while reading it at how devious and smart it is. Due to the presentation involved, it would also be a fun interactive piece to perform as it entails a bit of (pseudo-) 'reading' (as seen in the video Matt posted above) - this can be exceedingly minimal if this is not your thing, or hammed up a bit if you so desire. You can dress the process up in any way you wish, from a light, sceptical, experimental "let's try this" sort of approach, to a more earnest divination style (one of those practices with a '-mancy' at the end). As the method is in your head, as opposed to a physical p**k or imp** device, there is stuff to remember. I like exercising and 'hacking' the memory so this was fun for me and very quick. Matt provides a very helpful way to remember the necessary, and I think anyone would have this locked into memory in an afternoon. To be honest, 60 mins would probably do it for most people, but with the always necessary memory 'top-ups' afterwards. This method is a delight, ingenious, and, most importantly, it works. You may not hit the name 100% precisely every time, but if you don't, you will at least be very close every time. I can't imagine any fan, amateur or practitioner of our Art of Mentalism not getting very excited on reading this. You may well finish Matt's book and feel a bit like you are now walking around with a new super-power! Highly recommended. Very best, Francis

Within this book, Matt Mello teaches some “Prototype Models” that he created before making the finalized version and even though I agree with him that the finalized system that he has is superior to the prototype models, for some reason I kinda like Model 1. I’m going to play around with it and see if I can come up with something.
Oh, and does anyone know how I can get updates and new ideas for this product aside from the Facebook group as I don’t really like Facebook and deleted my account. The new system for getting the star sign with only 5 words sounds really awesome. |

Without giving it away, essentially what you do is you make it seem that the letter they are thinking of is random and you just made up the decision in that moment for them to think of the letter. I don’t really know how to explain it without tipping too much and I don’t want to explain it publicly so if anyone wants more info, PM me. Oh, and I think that Madison meant that no extra processes were left out and that is 100% true. |
