As a rule - I wouldn't consider buying a book test that has the name of the book as it's 'name' - not only for the obvious issue it also makes you wonder about the creators thoughts and decsion making in general
Also the trailer is a bit worrying that they are teaching you Banachek/Ted K/Becker/Earle subtleties [with permission] - why not just get the originals and learn from those that actually created the ideas Meh |

For the price, it’s the best value in book tests available. And at Christmas time his Christmas Carol book can’t be beat for an awesome holiday affect .

Unfortunately unuseable for the reasons the Duster mentioned above. Googling Great Gatsby magic and reviews, links to buy, this thread, etc. come up..... Making it unusable. And because of the content being specific to Gatsby, changing to cover really wouldn't work. I also don't see many advantages to the standard(specifically the smaller easy to carry version) I don't want to say the name here as this is searcheable.

I have to say that I am using and liking this a lot. My spectators have had this in their hands and searched through it without finding anything. They have also gone online and Googled stuff, again without finding anything. Super easy to do as well. Love it.

IMO this is the best 'bang for your buck' book test on the market. I don't buy the excuse that it's unusable because people might look up the title of the book/effect online. If you're having this issue then you should revisit your presentation...Don't pay any attention to the book and your audience won't either. It is just a means for selecting a word. The book itself is nicely produced and looks genuine- plus it's fully examinable.

I do agree that it is too easy to Google and find out, but I also have the GG book test, and I really like how easy it is to use! As Jared noted, it's a good book test for the cost. And if you like it, the creators just released another book. I'm guessing it's the same concept.

MY REVIEW: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Em-K5RVcx7g
I was thinking a good idea for this, aside from bending the corners on the cover and dinging it up a bit to make it more "convincing" would be to take this book (or Christmas carol) to your local library, or old high school and get them to stamp the inside cover. Then you could say "I stole this from my local library" or purchased it from a used book library sale |

What is with all this paranoia with magicians thinking spectators are instantly going to Google every magic trick performed for them????
Not to hurt anyone's feelings...but the average layperson isn't that interested in tracking down the secrets of magic. Unlike most of us, they have LIVES! |
