Hello! I perform the cups and balls whith great succes I do it close up and audiences love it. The only problem is I have very skinny fingers which gives me windows between the pinkie which is where the balls are supposed to be palmed. I get away whith it all the time but it still bugs me. If I tighten my fingers up ALOT theen the windows disepear but it does not look natrual to be tensed up that way. What other options do I have to performing the routine whitout the window issue.

First, study your fingers.
Do not squeeze them together to solve the problem. Instead, study how to cross them at the right places to fill in the gaps. In the process, cross the fingers so the hand appears natural. Then, practice opening and closing your hand while the fingers are closed correctly. Then, do that over and over until the action becomes part of your physical existence. The repetition is necessary to get your mind off of the action during presentation. That is, make the new action normal. Al

Is doing the cups and balls using finger palm instead of the pinkie holds recomended. To me using finger palm works better with the window issue and palming in general are there any downsides to this I notice that the loads become more difficult.

Your question opens a door to a long discussion.
A standard FP requires the use of the second and third fingers. That gives the hand an unnatural square look. Using the little finger enables the hand to have a cupped more natural appearance. To me cup moves from standard FP are very difficult. Little finger handling is vastly easier. Addressing the issues your post brings up is way over my pay grade. Perhaps others can help.
