Hi - does anyone know where I can buy an aged deck (circa 1800s), shipping to the UK
I did pay for Tombstone from Outlaw, but clearly that's never going to happen, so any help gratefully appreciated.

Yeah. These are great as old looking cards especially if you scratch them up a bit. As a marked deck they aren't great as the markings are on the smaller side and difficult to see unless very close.

The aged Bikes are very nice. They are faux aged (printed to look old), but still fun to use especially if you beat up the box a bit, and work with the cards before you present them just to add to the "used" feeling.

And you should age the sides. I think they are white 😊
By the way, Vic offers the Tombstone files for free. They are ready to print: https://www.geminiartifacts.com/collecti......one-deck Great gift! Cheers, Luc. |

Here's a great site with aged tarot and older poker decks. Some contain gaffs an marked cards. You can also buy matching blank cards. http://www.card-shark.de/index.cfm?page=......tegory=3

Yep proessortango, Card Shark is a first rate company and offer many quality products. Their aged line of cards are very nice, but again, it is faux aging...meaning the aged look is printed on the cards. They are very good in appearance and handling, but I wouldn't call attention to the age of the cards as an expert would know the difference. Just use them and let the appearance speak for itself.

The major issue I have with faux aged cards is that the aging is printed on each card with exactly the same pattern.
If you truly want an aged deck, then buy an old deck. If you're lucky, you can find decks at your local thrift shop. These will be cards that have been handled for many years, but will still be in somewhat good condition. Continue to treat them well, and they will serve their purpose.

Not hard to age a deck either, just time consuming.

I don't own any of these Series 1800 Bikes but I do like the look of them. Them being m**k** is also a bonus. On the negative side I think the faces look too modern. I was also concerned that they would feel like a new deck even to a layman.

The m**k**gs are EXTREMELY small. I don't know of anyone who is actually able to use them for that.

I use steel wool and mink oil, mainly, plus a little sandpaper if I need to remove any modern trademarks. PM me if you want more detail or photos of an aged deck.

Thanks greerj for mentioning the size. It sounds like that would be useless for me as my eyesight isn't that great but they still look quite nice. Also thanks for your offer mcharisse I have pmed you.
