I love where I live, the neighborhood, the house, the whole thing. So, it shouldn't be unusual I would like to be buried in my yard, instead of a cemetery across town. I may not like it there. If I don't like my neighbors here, I can move out and find better neighbors, but if I don't like who I am buried with at the cemetery, I'm stuck for all eternity, or until Jesus returns, if you think that is going to happen. Not to mention, strangers walking over your grave or reading your personal tombstone without your permission. I'd rather be buried at home.
However, while making my plans with the local funeral home, I discover there is an ordinance that prevents me from doing that. Just silly stuff like perhaps the people who buy my house may not want me there. Sounds ridiculous to me, but that is the law, so thinking out of the box (literally) was necessary. I have removed part of a stud in the wall and have made arrangements that my family will just put me in the wall and plaster over me. Instead of a tombstone, they can mark my location by hanging my picture over the space I am buried in. No one will even know I am there.

Well, there would be that foul stench thing.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
