Hi,

I have recently seen an act in which the magician transformed a jumbo card into a 36 silk in a blink.
I have heard that is a gimmicked card made with a few elastics that folds into the palm of the hand while the silk appears.

Does anyone know if this effect is in a book or is a trick that we can buy at a dealer?

Never seen it, never heard of it, don't know of any dealer item or book reference.

Can you say whose act you saw?

I have not seen this as well and it may be a customized effect the magician created. I could be wrong though. I would have to see it to know for sure. It just does not ring any bells for me.

I have used this effect in my act and if I remember it was shown to me by Arsen Lupin. Alexander De Cova marketed this effect and it doesn't use any elastics but you have to wear a waistcoat. He used the same gimmick to change a bridge size card into a jumbo card which is a very visual effect. You can find all of this effect on his videos, "Stand Up 1-5," but you have to speak some German to get it all right.

there is this technique and De Cova marketed it , but without any permission from the inventor Jan Torell , wich has been a good buddy and mentor to me for years now .
We are going to market it again on the US market , so please , even if you know how it is done , please don't explain the method .
And everyone else don't have to worry , the price won't be too expensive .

Is Jan going to release the frame where the jumbo card visually melts into a silk? and how about his Dice?
I remember meeting Jan at a Tannen Jubilee back in 1973 or 74, a fantastic act and a great lecture. I just dug out the notes and looked evrything over again.
Will Jan be planning alecture tour of the U.S.?

right now there isn't any plan of what we are going to release in the next future , except the Jumbo Card To Silk .
We even had questions about a new book of Jan's new and old work by Kevin James who'd love to publish it . But Jan really likes to keep his secrets , wich I can truly understand after reading all of his notes and learning some new stuff , it's absolute fantastic .
There are some notes out there wich contain Jan's complete act , including the Dices . But I don't think anybody who got these very rare notes is ever going to sell them again .
There isn't any lecture tour planned , but Jan is going to visit his sister in the US in the future , so .. who knows what will happen .

Doesn't Mahka Tendo perform this in his act? Also I remember Davido doing something similar.
