Hi All,
The 3rd in the series of Zandman booktests has just been released "The Scarlet Letter" and he has added an additional to this not seen in the other 2 books in the series to know more here is the theory 11 link..................... https://store.theory11.com/products/scarlet I also love the way its different from the other 2 just what we needed ! This is far superior to that other (ah hum) booktest recently released and again so cheap for what you get and can do. Regards Dr Rob |

Looks like this one is formatted like an actual book, as well! Finally.

I have ordered it, and will have all four--counting his Christmas Carol book test.
I like that Josh uses real books that most spectators have read or at least heard of. NO heat or suspicion on the books at all. A Christmas Carol was Josh's earliest project in (what became) this series. I am hoping that he updates that prop so that it integrates with the other three. George |

I don't think there is a problem with books that are not real as long as they seem so and many of these have far better methods. I am somewhat of the thought that most specs are suspicious of any type of booktest and have eliminated them from my basic performance, though still have a good one available in an emergency or for the right audience.

Wallets and book tests. Sigh. If I quit mentalism and became a crack head I'd have more money in my account... 252MentalismAnonymous

I haven’t received the physical product yet,
but judging from the video, I appreciate the new (additional) reveal. As for the “main” reveal. I personally think the original Flashback principal is fine as-is, and that it was unnecessary to conceal it further. It’s a subtle change, and probably a good layer to have if you’re performing for friends/family. I’d be impressed with anyone discovering the method easily though. Considering the price, so long as the book is passable, I’m already happy. If any of this changes once it’s in my hands, I’ll pass it on.

I just recently picked this up. Love it! So clever and easy to learn. I may have to get the others now. Can anyone tell me the differences between the Zandman booktest releases? PM? I'm just curious if having "Gatsby" and "Sherlock Holmes" with "The Scarlet Letter" would be a triple whammy. The only con I have about "The Scarlet Letter" is that it isn't designed very well; boring cover and the inner margin for the text inside is suspiciously close to the binding; so much so that it just looks weird. I think this could have been done better in that regard without altering the text, but I have noticed that friends are so mind-blown by the routine that they don't really thoroughly examine the book, even though it's completely fine to read.

This is crazy, but when I riffle through the pages for the spectator, the page I pick is 90% a page without a punctuation mark. I've done it over and over. Are the pages long and short?
I just did it 19 out of 20 times again. |

Hi everyone! Haven't found a lot on this booktest - could someone familiar with Gatsby and Sherlock give his opinion whether it's worth getting Scarlett as well ? Thanks!
