Had a friend who bought one and accidentally left the cartridge open and in less than 12 hours it was useless.

Jim,
I know you've sold a version of ultra smoke in the past, and also of how the T-T works and the hydrochloric acid byproduct of "Ultra Smoke 2000" and it's something that I don't want around me or the people who pay me to perform magic. And so I went on e bay and bought a borozin gun for $90 & change. Spending about 2 hours figuring out the best way to use it I finally hooked it up as if it was an electric touch (and needed to buy a lot of line* to stretch that far). I taped the rubber pump to the gun to give it a more magical ergonomic design (if you wear jeans it's invisible). But the borozin gun is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and you need to place the pump so that you can press it with your leg or foot... And Refills! the gun uses Zinc Stearate as the powder for the smoke production and as everyone knows that's fanning powder and extremely cheap (and safe) -------------------------------------------------- One Problem - the powder would stick to the inside of my black sleeve a little bit, unnoticeable but made me uncomfortable The Fix - I went to ace hardware and bought some black gorilla tape, taped it inside of my sleeve underlapping the hose and just so it wouldn't protrude out of my sleeve and it works great Thanks Try It Click here to view attached image.

Mr. Goodbar,
So how does the look of the smoke compare to Ultra Smoke? And is there any smell? Sounds like it could be a good alternative to the stinky toxic junk. Thanks for testing it first. Brad |

No Smell
Looks like a puff of smoke. But you have to make sure the valve is adjusted right it's really a preference you can make bigger thicker puffs, or lighter puffs by adjusting it... *** Just make sure its not adjusted to blow too much powder because it will work for a while then clog up the tube it it's the perfect amount your good for the long run.

Mr. Doodbar. Have you seen the US2000 smoke? I have it and it is beautiful, but because of all of the listed named above I would be willing to change. Are both puffs of smoke comparable? I'm afraid this one will look like powder. Could you compare both kinds of smoke? Thanks.

Hey guys,
I started looking into this and I found another thread were they talk about an other smoke that looks pretty good and is not toxic, won't mess up your sleeves and you can get the refills in a regular store. Check it out: http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/smokey-mag......262.html |

I have also seen a system that smells like strawberries sold. Can't recall where or what it is called though. I have gotten Ultrasmoke 2000 though. Used to play with it in high school, stupid I know but had no idea then even with itchy hands. Not even sure why my teachers let me get away with it. Anyway I finally got refills for it 3 or 4 years later and want to use it carfully and sparingly. I don't want to stink, goes faster than you would think as I found before and is dangerous. Use carfully away from faces and read instructions. Pro notes are great!
I now untube it and plug the ends keeping it in a bag incase it leaks corrosives. I suppost I could run air through the tubes without the cartridge attached to help keep it from clogging. I am curious what else I could do to keep it clean. Maybe run water through it letting it dry overnight before next use. Could I keep the cartridge regrigerated to eliminate leakage as mentioned above? How long till the cartridge clogs and how can I reduce the possiblility? As far as the original posts question though. I used to talk about rubbing hands together to produce heat. Then even show them my mystic smoke from fingertips before using it. As cool as this system is though given it's dangers once I get my moneys worth and go throgh all my extra tubbing I should try a different stystem probably the one listed above. Be careful and the best of luck.

In hooking up my ultrasomke and using it again only this time with a jacket with an inside lining. Like the instructions say rather than using an undershirt like I did before. I realized that the safety pins tear through the fabric it not carful of movements. Even when farly loose. My tubing was a little short on me given I am 6/5 yet still. I was trying to think of ways to eliminate the problem. I thought possibly elastic bunge as used in many magicians pulls. Attached further down the sleeve on one end and the bulb on the other. Eliminating tension, yet I didn't have any extra that wasn't being use for other gimmicks. So I figured I could use a short string with a fishing weight on the end to keep the bulb in place. The weight goes down the sleeve pulling the bulb up high. The hard part is adjusting the length of the string so it doesn't hang out my sleeve or fall out through the top. Works great, the bulb isn't in a perfect position but a little casual swinging of the arm or tuging adjustment of the jacket positions it.

Just had another thought on the product. If you have ever purchased Tim Davids Unmake you know the secret and will understand what I'm talking about. Use a velcrow attchment or pin it to the undershirt underneath your hoodie. Feed the end through a slit behind the pocket and then below the secret compartment for the vanish. The smoke may now be used with your hoodie.

Today I found a better set up for the bulb than the fishing weight. Tie a short lenth of string about three inches if that between two safefy pins. One safety pin on the tube at one end of the bulb. The other end safefy pined to your jacket infront of and outside sleeve. Holding the bulb up into the armpit. No tention and holds it in place.

I played around with this gimmick for while but couldn't find a good hook up for the bulb until now. During performance the bulb changes place some inches which causes I cannot get the right pressure to the bulb. If there is someone out there with an idea - PLEEEEAAASE let me know. Every help is highly appreciated.

I don't own ultra smoke so I can not guide you the way you want.
But after the new units that have appeared on the market I do not see why you stick to one that produces corrosive smoke. You could try to get one with completely safe smoke from the new ones |
