For years now, you’ve seen John Jurney’s wonderful works, from his stellar craftsmanship to even his own magical abilities, and both are quality efforts and pursuits. With his many unique coin sets, he has always included some really clever routines. Well, within all that is a deep recognition and love of coin magic and good old SOH.
So yeah, John doesn’t just make the coins, but he can work them pretty good too, and has done just that at a number of magic shows, lectures, and even in successfully showing his wares at various big magic conventions. And with all that, he still loves the classic stuff and has come up with a very clever Coins Across...and this time, no tricky coins needed. Now, I know there are a gang of CA out there, everyone has one, but this is another one that brings together some real clever deception and interesting use of application, perhaps even a thing or two that’s sorta new or that will certainly be “New2You” as to CA. All it takes is 4 regular coins and YOU. And as always, whether his wonderful suite of gaffed creations, or his also expert use of SOH with real coins, John walks you through every step, so you can do it too. Now y’know, I love coins across, even came up with a couple myself, but Jurney’s Crossing is a nice new take on making the magic happen, and with that comes all the old fun, all over again in a fresh new way. Highly Recommended! www.penguinmagic.com/p/11245

Looking at the trailer as a lover of coins across he has added some interesting touches but it does require a table top in order to perform the routine which is something I try not to do, I wish him lots of success with it though

Yeah, those "touches" are really nice and help to make the effect sing loud & clear... John shows you some new stuff in this one. It's not often that a fine boxer takes off the gloves and goes straight hand-to-hand combat, as John puts away his tricky coins and shows off the street-fighter in him with some "interesting" SOH.
Now, I'm not one for a lot of table work either, but of late I've found some interest in having a couple of things like this at the ready, like some elements of a flash coin assembly, a few card things I like to do, and now this little piece from John. I still don't think I will do a lot of table work, but when I do, this is nice to so cleanly pull out and amaze. Not to mention, there's some nice bits & pieces in there you might want to use in other ways for other things.

Has someone actually used the "Why did the chicken cross the road" in presentation? I think it's a wonderful idea, but it would mean adding some chicken coins in to my collection. I wouldn't mind doing that. I enjoy finding beautiful coins, indeed. I just happened to find a great one last night, too. This could be my grandma's coins across, I suppose. But my Dad used to have a lovely Banty hen I spent some time feeding in a trail across the barnyard.
This isn't the one I meant, specifically, though it could have been. Here's a chicken crossover from "Coins As Art": Quote: On Nov 15, 2016, magicalaurie wrote: |

Thank you all for checking this out, it has been wildly popular on Penguin Magic...Amazing!😁
And thanks for all the PMs recognizing the inner gems of the download, John is quite humbled by the overall appreciation of the unique sleights he teaches. 😊 The effect sorta reminds me of the fine magic that Café member, Tim Feher used to do at a table setting, always wonderful magic with notable precision as to the secret sauce. 😉 I’m sure with this popularity, there will be more interesting and magical things to come from this clever craftsman & coin man, beyond that of just his wonderful coin sets. 😊 www.penguinmagic.com/p/11245
