I am studying Mind control: a study of Equivoque by David Eldridge, self-published, 2001.
In it he uses some terms which I don't understand and would appreciate any comments from those who can explain them p.29 "burning" seasons, cards. " Equivoque to those seasons [ cards to be forced with names of seasons written upon them] by telling the spectator that she will be burning the seasons." What does burning mean in this context? p.12" lie out the names- what does it mean in this context? Does he mean to use "lay out" the names? "Do a living and dead test wherein after you discover the name of the dead person you lie out the names and then use Equivoque to make it appear that the spirit of the dead person guided a spectator to his or her name." p.39 "Tell the spectator to open his weak hand." On p. 10 he says he will explain this term, weak hand, later on but I cannot find any explanation when he later [p.39] uses the term for the effect. Any help in explaining these things will be appreciated. Also, can anyone point me to explanations of Equivoque that you personally have found helpful? Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

My opinion is to say you need to go on a study binge before embarking on such a studius endeavor.
There's a lot more to this racket for you than knowing the answers to your questions. |

P12- put the cards on the table forming a row P39- use the left hand if you are right handed and the right if you are left handed. Just watch multiplicity by Max Maven and you will understand it clearly. Regards |

If he's reading a book on equivoque and looking for further material its apparent he's on a "study binge" When the questions refer to things such as typos in the book why on earth would you not want to help? Its magicians helping magicians not demeaning magicians. |

I was thinking almost exactly the same thing as Mark. Multiplicity isn’t cheap, but if you sign up for the L&L newsletter and wait for sales, it can be had cheaper.
