Looks great, but I still think there is plenty of room for more improvement on this illusionette.

Nothing new here, very old and your design is a step backwards.
Why were you using your arm and not an assistant, or audience member? Why did you have the stand so high, no one could see the top of the box? Why did you hide your arm and walk off, did you hurt yourself? Have you seen Abbott's Magic Modern Arm Amputation they have sold for many years, you can even get workshop plans and build it yourself. https://www.abbottmagic.com/Abbotts-Mode......oryId=-1 |

The concept is old, indeed. But I have to disagree with you Bill. I think Chris's design is superior to the cumbersome Abbott's box. His is more inline with Larry White's trisection, but with a slight design adjustment. Also, I think the use of an assistant or audience member is a personal taste. Performing the illusion solo doesn't detract in any way from the overall effect.
Either way, Chris, I think the blades are too thin, the yellow colored base needs to be painted flat black or flat gray and the background needs to be a brick wall or some other busy pattern. Moreover, you should be wearing a white or brighter colored long sleeve shirt other than black (or different colored turtleneck in your case) to enhance the visual separation. I would prove the blades to be solid by slicing the string of some white balloons tied down to the arm box at the beginning of the illusion for the convincer. I realize the design is from the original 2013 release, so its time to make some changes and present something new and improved. Just a few constructive observations. P.S. Given a choice, between Abbott's Modernistic Amputation or Abbott's Dis-Armed, I would perform Chris Dev's illusion in a heart beat. |

I like this! Much better and more visual than the Abbotts modern amputation.

I do not think, and look a little subtlety of use, in all fluidity without any suspicious gesture
