4 cards are shown front and back.after a series of card changes, the cards are turned over to show all the backs have changed from red bikes to metalic iridescent glossy backs! truly amazing ! Kenny

Cascade is one of my favorite packet effects. One of my sets has mirror on the faces and backs and when you are finished you can say it is done with mirrors.
Great effect.. Rennie

Anyone who is a regular at Davenports (I don't go as often as I used to) can usually see Bill Davenport demonstrating this for (mesmerised) customers. I must have seen him doing it dozens of times and it always brings a smile to my face. According to their catalogue, 'Rainbow Cascade' is Terri Rogers' version of Roy Walton's original 'Cascade'. And it's a Davenports exclusive.

Hi,
just like to know if the cards can be inspected? I am not too sure of this effect, but is it somewhat like stranger's gallery in terms of the effect? can I get this anywhere else besides at davenport? cause shipping from europe is really expensive... thanks eric

I just bought a Cascade-type of effect where the backs of the cards suddenly have nudie women on them. I thought it would be good for the kids at the hospital.

Firedice you put a smile on my face. Very nice. I'm sure the kids will enjoy that one. Can I use it in my nursing home tour? Sweet !
Not clever enough to come up with something orginal, or did I.

A guy I met in Davenports recommended this trick. Once I saw it, I bought it, and I still love it. It´s 7,5 Pounds.

Rainbow cascade is a superb effect that I have performed on a regular basis (sometimes the glittery cards make the count hard though)
this is all in all one of the best packet tricks out their as it is a multi phase routine with a kicker at the end (like cups and balls with cards) AND EXAMINABLE |

I have the same problem as Jezza has. The glittery cards make the count sometimes hard. I really have no problem with this count and "regular" cards, but with the cards from "Rainbow Cascade"...... But I must say that you can avoid the problem with this count by being very careful. I mean, this trick is a good reason to optimize this count....

I bought RAINBOW CASCADE, from Davenports, over a decade ago...thanks for reminding me. I am going to go and fish it out and give it an airing.
I recall having similar problems with counting the prismatic backed cards...I found that a search through the literature to find different handlings of the Elmsley count, to be helpful. Holding the cards at the fingertips gives a bit more control in this case. RG. |
