Mentalism is not the field I am well versed in, but I remember a few years back seeing this one performance where basically three cards and a round chip are taken out of an envelope, and placed upwards, one showing a Red Spot, another a Blue Spot, and the third a Green Spot. Then a spectator selects one of the colors by placing the chip on top of the card. From there the trick is done because there are three outs to show the Magician knew which color the spectator was going to put the chip on. The color is predicted on the chip, a piece of paper within the envelope, or on the back of one of the cards.

On my Grandsons Birthdays or Xmas I try to find one little trick he is able to do, and I think at this stage, this would be a good one for him. If anyone happens to know what name I can search for, or happens to know what store on the net happens to carry this, It would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This is usually sold in most magic stores and in kits. The usual name is Mental Choice, but there are many variations.

Here is that version: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/1116

A very cool variation by Andy Nyman: https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic/......ite-pro/ This one is the pro version, but there's a cheaper version out there.
