Hello gents,
I'm looking to built a slim magic wand which would house a bunch of colored feathers almost like a duster with a retractable top. I'm using a thin pvc pipe for the wand. I'm wondering what I could utilise for the retractor? Something in the vein of an appearing flower contraption perhaps? Never opened one so not exactly sure.. Has anyone made something similar or has ideas to share? Thank you

Yes, this has been on the market for years. A regular children magic item. I believe David Ginn used it extensively.
A simple plunger that uses your thumb will work. Cut a track hole and put a screw through the hole, then push it up and down. Check Abbott's Magic if they still have them for sale. |

Silly Billy is selling an enhanced one. It is spring loaded. It pops out once the button is released.
