In this incredible video recently posted (not by me!) Fred Kaps is executing, I believe, stuff from the LePaul book. Maybe someone can make an index of the contents
His skill was indeed incredible https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjuSATUsiQI

Excellent video but I don't think it is Fred Kaps! I have no idea who it is but the face on view of the performer at about 16.57 certainly doesn't look like Kaps.

Yes, the hands are Fred's. And large hands they are. There are moves there from a bunch of sources. I saw some of Charlie Miller's work in there. This video is a great example of how advanced card manipulation was at the time.

You can look up propelled lapping in conjuring archive and find references. Fulves published two methods, one based upon gravity, the other on propulsion, in Preliminary Notes on Part Two of Riffle Shuffle Technique.

Didn't want to be another "me too", but I love the history of magic and just about anything nostalgic. It was amazing to watch this. And a pretty simple and effective tutorial. Just show the move from the front, then show how it's done from the back. Most of it can be practiced just from what in the 2 views. I went to the castle this weekend and was reminded of all the magicians we lost in the last few years and the incredible legacy of all those pictures on the walls.
