Such a beautiful routine this is. The method is woven into the narrative in such a natural and organic way. And the production of the PDF is top class. I was very inspired to use storytelling to a greater extent in the future.
I am very grateful for the generosity Sudo has shown by sharing Hoshi´s Lucky Star. |

Hoshi's Lucky Star is a piece that provides an indelible "moment" for someone that they will likely never forget. Sure, there is a little bit of "clever" going on here; however, the "clever" part is dwarfed by the "forever" part. The "forever" component is where the effect essentially allows someone to believe that actions that are all of their own choosing/control can achieve magical moments for them. While I think that it is a common belief that life's magical moments are rare, Hoshi's Lucky Star leaves a spectator with a hope and belief that magical moments will be more frequent/plentiful in their life going forward. This is a piece of magic. However, it is more strongly a piece of hope, real hope. Simply brilliant! Kind of like a star.

Finally had a chance to immerse myself in this. Wow, I love this kind of magic! Sudo strikes again... and the result, again, is effing beautiful, simple, and meaningful. Aside from just waxing poetic about the all around wonderfulness of this piece, I will also say that one of the valuable things about Hoshi's Lucky Star is the fact that it uses a methodology that has been explored by other notable players with sometimes confusing results, IMHO. Sudo has streamlined the process significantly, so that this method (or rather, this game) is largely stripped of any confusing factors and is now more straightforward and easier to follow. There is no way a spec walks away from this experience without feeling like they've been touched by something magical.
I will definitely make a jar of stars to keep on my desk at work. I work in a juvenile prison, and I always keep a compact and attractive prop/effect of some sort on my desk at all times, to arouse curiosity and help engage with the kids in fun way. And of course, to echo the praise of others, the design of the PDF is gorgeous--which makes reading the manuscript a comforting experience, rather like walking through an attractive home that is infused with pleasant aromas and the supportive energy of Feng Shui placement. Another home run from our wise and generous friend Sudo! Seth |
