There's routine with two glasses on a table. You put deck of cards in one, and transfer cards one at a time to the other glass.
I found the perfect wine glasses at Target. Cheap and made of plastic, yet look like glass. Only one problem. When I put deck of cards in them, they slide down too far into glass. I need part of the card above the rim in order to easily grab it. So two options: 1. Cut down the wine glass. But I don't think I'd get that clean of an edge. And not sure how level I could cut using hacksaw or dremmel. I don't know specific type, but it's hard clear plastic. 2. Fill it part way with something that resembles liquid such as red wine. I like this idea, because would be fun to produce something that looks like liquid, but then set cards in glass and they don't sink. Looking over options it looks like resin would be way to go. But I've never used it, and looks like many resins cannot be mixed in large quantities (i figure I'd need 6-8 ounces in each glass). And I see it generates a lot of heat. Will it melt plastic glass? Also, I see tints/dyes for resin, but not how to use them. Guessing you put it in resin before adding catalyst. But not sure. Any thoughts? Tips on cutting top of plastic wine glass? Experience using resin? Any other options you can suggest?

I have cut plastic glasses and wine glasses on a band saw with great success. Set the fence to the amount you want to cut off and rotate the glass through the blade. Use at least a 6 tooth per inch blade. Maybe a friend has a band saw if you do not. Fine sandpaper finishes the edge.
