Jareds variaton is really cool and I like the new looking artworks (everyone who see this know what I mean)
Thank you Jared that you share this with me. I think this one is really good to use over Zoom and Craig Pettys variation is perfect for walk around. |

My variation for Socks:
SETUP: Set up the two piles matching. Take 4 bottom cards of ONE pile and place top of that pile. Keep them in the order in which they came off the bottom. Put the force cards on top of the 2 piles PRESENTATION: Casually show both piles and talk about how they both have the same socks, but they don’t match. Maybe they can pick a matching pair? Use cross force to force 1 top card. Let the crossed piles sit while you move on to the other pile (time delay) Use cross force or riffle/swing cut force to force other top card. After reveal, be sure the packet that was on top goes back on top.Now reveal the cross cut to card in the first pile. After revealing cut to card, be sure to put the packet that was on top back on top. Deal off 4 cards from each pile showing they don’t match. Pick up another and show they don’t match. That’s enough and it sets up the rhythm to be used later. You can show the rest of both and just say they don’t match. When I gather the 4 cards that I dealt and flipped, replace them on pile that did not have the 4 moved so that the dealt down cards are back on top. When gathering and replacing the pile of 4 that came from the bottom at set up, put them back on the bottom.(You can hold the main pack face or or face down when you do this). Do it casually. This will re-orient the packs so that they match. The 4 from the bottom are back at the bottom so everything is matched. Draw attention to the two face down (forced) cards as you gather the others to distract from the gathering up and talk about them to verbally distract. “Now do you think when I turn those over they will match???” Show the mismatched forced pair now. Do the real sock reveal. Then say that a match is in the air or whatever, and now when you start to turn over both packs one by one they will all match. It is simple and if first shows the packs as mismatched and with minimal moves gets them oriented to show the kicker matched socks ending.
Magic is where dreams become reality and reality becomes a dream.

I am waiting for the X-MAS socks to arrive so I can perform this at my holiday corporate gigs in a few weeks, your handling adjustments sold me on purchasing this! Thanks again for sharing!! Jared, Definitely going to be PM'ing you soon. Soon as I make some money from these gigs I am going to purchase the regular version and would love to hear about your variation.

Thanks to both Gipstein and Craig Petty for sharing their routines. I think both of your versions solves the timing force issue - and makes this readily performable for all artists. This is a great trick and you versions are really helpful - meaning - I have now ordered the trick and are really looking forward to the mailman knocking on my door
Thanks again. Jan |

I now use Switch-a-Two as an out if I miss with the timing with spectator. Works perfectly.
