The obvious place to look for this is in the work of Rene Levand -- a one-handed magician from Argentina. He has lots of material out in video and print.
Much of his stuff is cards, but he would be a good performer to consider. |

I have seen Rene Levand's card work and I must say that it is amazing.
People cannot suspect that the card (or coin) is in the other hand, because there is no other hand.

30 years ago I saw John Mendoza do the same thing, utilizing the Tenkai Pinch, and I don't know if it was his. But, it played exactly as you described.

This has come up before, but it might be hard to find the thread. Try looking at threads on "spellbound" changes, or "backclip" changes.
John Mendoza published the first precise description of this change in "The Book of John," as part of his spellbound routine. I don't believe he claimed to have invented the move, but he might have been the first to explain it in detail. There is a very similar change sequence by Howie Schwartzman in the revised edition of Bobo's, i.e., New Modern Coin Magic. There, the mechanics are almost the same, but the coin changes as it's being thrown from one hand to the other. If you enjoy a juggling challenge, and ending clean, you might try this: Use this change to transform the "coin" a couple of times. On the last toss, clean up by using Gregory Wilson's "Pitch and Ditch."

Larry Jennings invented the one-handed change above. I first saw it in San Francisco about 1977, but it was old then. Larry combined it with a two-handed Spellbound Change of Vernon's, and a one handed clean-up for the Vernon Change. The Vernon Change is in print somewhere, can't remember where. It uses the Morritt Palm and a back clip. Palmed coin is in right hand. As right hand approaches left (right is palm down and flat as a result of the Morritt grip), the coin laying flat on the left fingers is levered up, under cover of the right hand, and pushed thru the fingers to a back clip. The coin in the Morritt grip is left on top of the left hand coin covering it and making the change. Larry had a one-handed cleanup for this that brought the visible coin to the fingertips at the same time as it brought the back clipped coin into the left hand in finger palm. He then did the Toss change described above. He actually had three ways to do this - three different starting positions. One with the visible coin flat on the palm, one with the visible coin at the fingertips, and another with the visible coin at the fingetrips but the other coin in a different starting position from the first two versions. Complicated sounding, but very simple, really...
Best, PSC I started to edit/amend this, got interrupted and, by the time I got back to it, the thirty minutes you're allowed to edit in had elapsed. So, I will try to amend it now, please bear with me: Quote:
