Just realized I joined back in 2014 but never posted an introduction, so here goes.

I'm a (mostly card and mentalism) magician and have been since about 1988. Worked semi-pro then pro until 2000, moved to Japan a year later (originally from Scotland).

Although my work now is in cider consulting and publishing, I still incorporate magic into my daily life and work.

Have loved the Magic Café since I first stumbled across it - a great place to spend internet time.

Not exactly, although I have been paid to do that in the past.

In addition to publishing a cider magazine, my work also involves helping cideries and cidermakers with their business strategies in Japan.

It just means adding a trick (or two) to a business meeting and always being ready to perform when I visit bars and clients.

I used to shy away from it until I realized I get a lot more callbacks from people after they've seen me do something.
