Hello all,
A few weeks ago I asked in the "New to Magic" forum about what kind of wax to use to hold my Johnson flipper half together. Wravyn explained what I should use and I bought some magicians wax. It doesn't seem to hold very well at all. What else should I try using? I tried the Walmart brand of double sided tape and it didn't work either. Thank you Bob |

I use Scotch brand permanent double stick tape. The rubber band will wear out before that stuff lets go, but you can still get it put for band change. Others like blue tac

Wax isn't strong enough.
The Scotch Permanent tape is good, but I've found some carpet tape that's thinner. That said, after swearing it off years ago, I'm back to using Super Glue. Replace your rubber band with elastic cord and glue that sucker in place. Full details here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/29h2osli3ju3t......CX8xDXra |

I apologize about misunderstanding your question. You had asked if they were meaning beeswax when they said wax. I was answering what type of wax was being talked about and shared an alternative that can be used for magicians wax.

Wravyn,
No apology needed, I learned something about wax and the alternative was neat idea. Thank you |

Double stick tape best answer. If you have to replace just make sure you remove all tape, clean with alcohol or nail polish, water wash, dry, put new tape on and reset..done.
